Oral Hygiene Awareness Campaign

Oral hygiene is the practice of keeping the mouth and teeth clean to prevent dental problems, most commonly, dental cavities, gingivitis and bad breath.

With an aim to educate school children about the importance of oral hygiene, KIH launched its Oral Hygiene Awareness Campaign last May 2012 as part of the Annual Nurses Week Celebration. This campaign is created as part of the hospital’s advocacy to educate various sectors of the society, especially children by providing them with the basic information on good oral hygiene.

KIH advocates to teach children by visiting schools to conduct educational workshops on the proper technique of brushing teeth through actual demonstration and video presentation. Also, our team of nurses distributes education materials addressed to parents of these students and discount vouchers for free dental consultation with our Dental Specialists. Likewise, each student is given a pack of oral care kits like toothbrush & toothpaste.
