Job Description Summary/ ملخص الوصف الوظيفي:

Responsible for the overall management of medical record department and related matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and develop policies, systems, and procedures for efficient operation.
  • Prepare, evaluate and implement departmental policies and procedures.
  • Direct and monitor all Medical Records Department activities.
  • Supervise orientation and in-service education for all MRD personnel.
  • Participate in the development or revision of procedures or forms related to MR.
  • Provide consultation on renovation plans when space provided for MRD is being renovated or being expanded.
  • Work closely with the MR review committee to check the quality of the Medical Records documentation.
  • Participate in the Quality Management Program.
  • Train the staff when required.
  • Conduct/facilitate staff meetings.
  • Ensure that the staff adhered to stated procedures.
  • Codes all diagnosis using ICD-10 manual and all the procedures using ICD-9 on-line coding system.
  • Check the assembly, and completeness of all inpatient medical records before final filing.
  • Monitor recording of inpatients and master patient index.
  • Analyze data on monitoring the quality of medical records entries and present to the MR committee for comments.
  • Monitor the medical records staff of their duties if properly done.
  • Attend to the department problems raised by the staff and find solutions as needed.

Job Title/ اسم الوظيفة:Dermatologist
Job Description Summary/ ملخص الوصف الوظيفي:

Provides specialized services to patients for the diagnosis and management of diseases of the skin and appendages.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides consultative services for patients of the Beauty Clinic on all aspects of skin care and dermatological problems. He also coordinates with the Beauty Clinic staff to ensure the appropriateness of the procedures.
  • Perform his duties in the Dermatology Outpatient Clinic evaluating patients with skin diseases on a daily basis, these accounts for 90% of his time.
  • Provides consultation service to inpatients in his area of expertise (Dermatology).This accounts for about 5-10% of his time.
  • Admits to the hospital patients with skin diseases requiring inpatient services and assume their care.
  • Provides on-call emergency coverage for dermatologic emergencies.
  • Performs the dermatologic procedures, e.g., PUVA therapy, skin biopsy, Cryosurgery, excision, etc.
  • Participates in Committees as needed.
  • Participates in the monthly staff meeting of the Internal Medicine Division.
  • Participation in the Quality Assurance Program, e.g. chart review and peer review.
  • Ensures that he is updated on the latest trends procedures and studies regarding dermatology and cosmetic services
  • Implements the department’s policies and procedures.
  • Be aware of the hospital’s policies and procedures regarding human resources, confidentiality, ethical behavior, patient care, safety, and infection control.
