Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

KIH joins and supports the world in celebrating the Breast Cancer Awareness Month every October of each year.

The Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign started last October 2008 but was formally inaugurated in 2010 with the launching of the Pink Day as its kick off activity to begin the awareness campaign. This awareness drive is part of KIH’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to pay back to the communities for the continuous patronage and loyalty to the hospital, aiming to reach out with the general public through education and awareness on the prevention, early detection and cure of breast cancer disease.

Our Team of Surgeons & OB/Gynecologists played important role in providing free breast examinations to patients, staffs and visiting customers. Our Diagnostic Imaging Team extended its support in accommodating patients for mammography and breast ultrasound/scanning. Similarly, our Promotions Team took charge of educating patients and disseminating useful information through posting of posters and distribution of flyers and pamphlets.
